FAQ

generate.now — frequently asked questions

Everything people ask before they click around the toolbox.

What is generate.now?

A free online toolbox of single-purpose generators. Each tool runs in one screen and gives you a result you can copy or download — no signup, no ads, no exports to retype.

Are all the tools really free?

Yes. Every tool on the site is free to use in your browser, with no sign-up or paywall. A Pro tier is planned for API access and bulk processing, but the browser tools will always be free.

Do you store the data I paste in?

No. Tools run entirely in your browser whenever possible. The AI-assisted tools send only your prompt to the model — nothing is stored on our side or used for training.

Can I use the output in commercial projects?

Yes. Anything you generate — passwords, palettes, code snippets, fake data, QR codes, favicons, gradients — is yours to use however you want, including in paid or commercial work.

How is this different from other generator sites?

No ads, no popups, no signup walls, no slow page loads. Every tool is one screen with one job, and the output is paste-ready instead of a screenshot you have to retype or a download buried behind a newsletter form.

What does 'AI-powered' mean for some tools?

A handful of tools (like the cron and regex generators) use a language model to interpret natural-language input — for example, turning 'every weekday at 9am' into a valid cron expression. They run as deterministic backends with strict output validation, not a chat window. The rest are pure browser tools.
